But today it is a modern state of the art center serving the Passaic County Community and touching the lives of many. Our children and youth programs, featuring the Chabad Hebrew School, Mommy and Me, Adult education and events, and many other services, programs and events have seen tremendous growth since its inception in 2011 to today.

Chabad Center for Jewish Life's unique approach and unconditional acceptance of people, has created a dynamic and flourishing community.

Chabad Center for Jewish Life | Upper Passaic County is a Chabad house in Wanaque, led by Rabbi Mendy Gurkov.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held.

For children there is a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have a teen club and bar and bat mitzvah instruction.

They officiate at weddings and funerals.

The center visits patients in hospital and looks after the elderly.
