The mission of Chabad of St. Maarten/Martin is to provide each and every Jew, regardless of background or degree of commitment, the opportunity to discover the beauty of our shared heritage in a warm, welcoming and non judgmental environment. Chabad provides innovative educational and social services to the St. Maarten/Martin community, in a spirit of love and brotherhood. Its purpose is to improve the quality of life through reaching out and fulfilling the needs of the community through its various programs. Chabad pledges to fulfill the mandate of the Lubavitcher Rebbe by increasing in acts of goodness and kindness for all humankind; thus preparing the world for the ultimate redemption.

What they offer

Chabad-Lubavitch of S. Maarten/Martin is a Chabad house in Simpson Bay Village, led by Rabbi Moishe Chanowitz.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. A kosher store is run here. They kosher kitchens for the community.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held.

For children there is a preschool, a children's club and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction.
