Chabad Lubavitch of El Paso is a friendly family-oriented synagogue that welcomes Jews from all backgrounds to participate in a variety of spiritual, educational, and entertaining programs.
The period of niddah is a time, usually lasting twelve days, when Jewish law forbids conjugal relations. Niddah begins with the onset of menstruation and is completed with the woman’s immersion in a mikvah (מִקְוֶה), a ritual pool of water. The niddah period and the mikvah immersion have recently seen a renaissance of observance in the Jewish community.

What they offer
Chabad Lubavitch is a Chabad house in El Paso, led by Rabbi Yisroel Greenberg.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Accommodation for guests can be arranged. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community. A mikveh is available. Dishes can be toveled here.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.
For children there is a preschool, a Hebrew school and after-school programmes.
Older children and young adults have a teen club and bar and bat mitzvah instruction.
They officiate at weddings and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly and runs a free loan fund.
