Centrally located in the heart of Downtown, The Shul Downtown–CYP’s building–is revolutionizing Jewish life in the area, serving as a communal and spiritual home for young Jews in Raleigh.

Welcome to CYP Raleigh, your center for Jewish life in your 20s and 30s. We're building a vibrant, down-to-earth community for young Jewish professionals who want more—more connection, more meaning, and more goodness in their day-to-day lives.

Whether it’s at shul, the coworking space, or special events, this is your place to build relationships, foster Jewish pride, and show up for yourself and your community.

We believe that Judaism and one's relationship with G-d could be dynamic, beautiful, personal and deeply sincere. That Jewish experiences should be relevant, exciting, soulful, and inviting. And that CYP can be your community, your family and your home.

Accessible daily, The Shul Downtown offers inviting spaces where young Jews can connect with each other and recharge from the daily grind.

What they offer

Chabad Young Professionals Raleigh is a young professionals' centre in Raleigh, led by Rabbi Zalmy Dubinsky.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community. A mikveh is available.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held.

Older children and young adults have a young professionals' circle.

They officiate at weddings and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly and provides humanitarian aid.
