Purim Mishloach Manot

Join the Community efforts in fulfilling the Mitzvah of Mishloach Manot

Purim is one of the most joyous and festive holidays on the Jewish calendar. It is a time to celebrate unity, friendship, and Jewish connection by sending thoughtful food gifts to friends and family – the beautiful mitzvah of Mishloach Manot.

This year, Chabad of Sarasota is once again offering our community Mishloach Manot project, with a few important updates that make participation simpler and delivery more consistent.

• Each recipient on the attached list will receive one beautifully packaged Purim gift filled with Hamantashen and other Purim treats, along with a card listing the names of everyone who sent them Mishloach Manot. Out of town recipients will receive a Purim card instead.

• This year’s community list has been carefully curated and includes approximately 110 families and individuals who will be receiving the Shalach Monos package.

• Each name you select from the attached list is $15, with a minimum participation of $45, which covers three names.

• Want to send a Purim Gift to someone who is not on the list? No problem. You may add additional names in one of two ways:

Option A: The same beautiful Purim gift sent to the community list delivered on Purim

Cost: $40 per additional family

Option B: A smaller Purim gift delivered on Purim

Cost: $22 per additional family

• To avoid any awkward moments, our Reciprocity option ensures that if someone sends Mishloach Manot to you but you did not include them, we will automatically add them to your list and bill you $15 per gift.

• Become a sponsor. For $260, your name will appear on every Purim gift delivered, showing your generous support of this community wide effort.

• Our dedicated volunteers will deliver all Mishloach Manot gifts within the Sarasota-Manatee area by Purim. If any package cannot be delivered in time due to unforeseen circumstances, it will be mailed immediately after Purim.

• To make things simple, you can also fill out your Mishloach Manot form online at www.sarasotachabad.com/mm.

Thank you for helping spread the joy of Purim throughout our community. Together, we can make this holiday even more meaningful and special.
