As 2025 draws to a close, we reflect with gratitude on a year of extraordinary growth and connection at Chabad of Sarasota. With our community expanding in every direction, we have worked tirelessly to provide inspiring, meaningful, and accessible Jewish experiences for all ages.
Our adult education offerings continued to flourish, with packed weekly classes, dynamic JLI courses on Wednesdays and Sundays, monthly Women’s Group meetings, and the Rebbetzin Schmooze on Friday nights—all contributing to a vibrant culture of Torah learning. The Kaplan Preschool and the Weinstein JKids Hebrew Club welcomed new families, while the Mommy and Me program created warm spaces for Jewish engagement across generations.
This year also marked the arrival of our new youth directors, Rabbi Mendy and Chaya Mushkah Steinmetz, whose energy and dedication have brought new life to CTeen and other youth activities.
This year’s holiday celebrations were filled with joy and unity. From A Taste of Chanukah and Purim festivities to our communal Passover Seders, Lag B’Omer gatherings, Sukkot festivals in our newly built Sukkah, and our Shavuot celebrations, each event strengthened the bonds of our growing community.
The annual Dr. Leonard Schwartzbaum Longevity Symposium continued to draw exceptional speakers and wide participation, deepening our commitment to wellness, education, and connection.
Alongside these beautiful offerings, the increased requirement for security at events and at the Preschool has added significant financial strain.
To meet these needs and continue expanding our programs, we are launching our End-of-Year MATCH-A-THON!
