THE KABBALAH OF MEANING

Jewish Wisdom for a Life That Matters

No matter how much we achieve, something within us still asks: “Is this it? Isn’t there something more?”

The Kabbalah of Meaning is a new six-session JLI course exploring the Jewish answer to that question. What are we really searching for—and where can it be found?

Drawing on Kabbalah and centuries of Jewish wisdom, we’ll uncover the essential building blocks of a deeply meaningful life. We’ll explore how purpose can be found in our work, relationships, challenges, accomplishments, and even the ordinary routines that fill our days.

You don’t have to revamp your life. You don’t need to meditate on a mountaintop. You simply need a new lens through which to see the rich world of meaning already woven into every part of your life.

Thoughtful, practical, and surprisingly relevant, this course offers fresh perspectives and useful tools for living with greater clarity, connection, and intention.

No previous Jewish learning required. Come as you are—and bring your questions.

LESSON ONE The Meaning We Seek

When we have it all, we still need something more: purpose. Discover four fundamental human qualities that provide lasting fulfillment.

LESSON TWO To Make or Not to Make Meaning

When life lacks luster, should we invent a more meaningful way of seeing things? Or is there already a purpose hiding in plain sight?

LESSON THREE Meaning in the Mundane

Even if it happens every day, daily life needn’t feel ordinary. See how every part of the day can be as significant as your highest aspirations.

LESSON FOUR Meaning in the Rhythms of Time

As time flies by, is it just more of the same? Discover the rich texture of Jewish time, and how attuning ourselves to each moment’s message enables profound spiritual purpose.

LESSON FIVE Meaning in the Unchosen

Some things are clearly meaningful, but what if everything is? Explore a vision of life where every event and circumstance catalyzes growth and leads to greater purpose.

LESSON SIX I Mean Something, Therefore I Am

Before you do anything, you are worthy. Discover Judaism’s empowering understanding of your inherent worth as an individual and as a Jew, and how it calls us to even greater achievement.
