Welcome to Chabad of Lelystad, your home away from home in Lelystad. Established in 2022 by Rabbi Shneur Shusterman and his wife Mussi, Rabbi Shneur Shusterman and Mussi has been serving the Lelystad community with love, dedication, and timeless Jewish wisdom.
Rabbi Shneur Shusterman has been serving the Lelystad community for over 2 years. A passionate educator and mentor, he is devoted to fostering Jewish identity, knowledge, and traditions in an inclusive and welcoming environment.
Mussi Shusterman is the pillar of our community events and programs. She is the person that keeps the community together.
At Chabad of Lelystad, our mission is to create a vibrant Jewish community where everyone, regardless of background or level of observance, feels welcome, valued, and inspired. We aim to provide authentic Jewish experiences, education, and resources to enrich the lives of all who walk through our doors.

What they offer
Chabad of Lelystad is a Jewish community centre in Lelystad, led by Rabbi Shneur Shusterman.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly and one-to-one study can be arranged.
For children there is a Hebrew school and a children's club.
Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction.
They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners and looks after the elderly.
