Het motto van Chabad Flevoland is "een plek waar iedereen zich thuisvoelt". Chabad Flevoland staat onder de enthousiaste leiding van Rabbijn Moshe en Rebbetzin Channa Stiefel. Samen met hun kinderen proberen zij die plek waar iedereen zich thuisvoelt te bieden voor de Joodse gemeenschap van Flevoland en omstreken. Er worden allerlei ontmoetingen, bijeenkomsten en vieringen georganiseerd.

Alle activiteiten vinden plaats in het Chabadcentrum (de synagoge) van Almere, tenzij anders is vermeld. Data en tijden vindt u op de website, via de nieuwsbrief , de facebook groep of in ons eigen nieuwsblad ‘De Joodse Flevopost’.

Onverhoopt nog geen Joodse Flevopost ontvangen? Mail ons voor een gratis exemplaar. Alle Joodse inwoners van Flevoland ontvangen het blad gratis. Maar uiteraard zijn uw vrijwillige donaties altijd van harte welkom.

Let op: Bij veel activiteiten is vooraf aanmelden niet noodzakelijk. Indien u voor het eerst komt, is aanmelden wel gewenst i.v.m. de veiligheid.

What they offer

Chabad Centrum Almere is a Chabad house in Almere, led by Rabbi Moshe Stiefel.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Kosher meals are available on a meal plan. A kosher store is run here. They kosher kitchens for the community.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held.

For children there is a children's club.

Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction and a bar mitzvah club.

They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly and provides humanitarian aid.
