JRCC East Thornhill

Dear friends, Our family moved into this neighborhood in November 2005 with a view to play our part in serving members of the Jewish Russian community living in this area.

Our family moved into this neighborhood in November 2005 with a view to play our part in serving members of the Jewish Russian community living in this area.

The JRCC offers many services to the whole community. Our local branch plans to offer more individual help and programs to fulfill the needs of our local community. We would be very happy to have you join us in this growing community. Our services are currently being enjoyed by many who have never experienced a synagogue nor had a Jewish Education. Come and join this growing community and enjoy those and many other events and experiences throughout the year.

Our mandate to serve the community was handed to the JRCC by the Rebbe, who taught us that, “The three loves: love of G‑d, love of Torah, and love of a fellow Jew are all one.” This is based on the teaching of the Baal Shem Tov that our love and concern for our fellow Jewish brothers and sisters, even those who we don’t know, should penetrate the very core of our being. It is the Rebbe’s teachings and his vision for Jewish unity, the oneness of Creation, and a harmonious future for all humanity that guide and inspire us.
