About us
Welcome to The Village Shul - Chabad of Hampstead , a warm and welcoming Jewish community in the heart of Hampstead, London. Led by Rabbi Yisroel and Devorah Leah Weisz, The Village Shul is a registered charity in England and Wales (no. 1124605).
Something special has taken root here: a community, a family, where people experience Judaism because they want to, not have to. Whatever your background, affiliation or level of observance, there are no labels here. Every Jew is welcome, and there is bound to be something just for you.
Our mission is simple: to bring the warmth, wisdom and joy of Judaism in a way that speaks to modern life, and to strengthen Jewish awareness, pride and community through educational, cultural and social activities for every Jew in our area.
- Shabbat and festival services: Friday night 6:00pm (6:30pm in summer) and Shabbat morning 10:00am, both followed by kiddush, plus weekday Minchah and a monthly Rosh Chodesh Tefillin Club
- The Village Shul Cheder: a friendly and stimulating environment where children embrace their Jewish roots and gain a true sense of Jewish pride
- Adult education: weekly Torah classes and courses from the Jewish Learning Institute (JLI)
- Women's events, youth programs and holiday celebrations throughout the year
- Community services and pastoral support from Rabbi Yisroel and Devorah Leah
Whether you are looking to pray, to learn, or simply to connect, you will find a place here. Welcome Home.
