The Jewish Community Center – Chabad in Guangzhou was established with the aim of strengthening the spirit of Judaism among the Jews living in Guangzhou and among the many businessmen who visit the area, and to strengthen the preservation of the Jewish tradition in the diaspora.

At the Jewish Community Center – Chabad Guangzhou, Menyanim are held every morning, followed by breakfast at 8:00 a.m., Mincha and Ma’ariv 5 minutes before sunset.

Every day there are regular Torah lessons after the morning prayer, as well as a lesson between Mincha and Ma’ariv.

Besides the regular Shiure Tora, there are other lessons that you can join, as well as schedule Lessons and Chavruta throughout the day.

What they offer

Chabad of Guangzhou is a Jewish community centre in Guangzhou, led by Rabbi Eli Rozenberg.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Kosher meals are available on a meal plan. A kosher store is run here. They kosher kitchens for the community. A mikveh is available. Dishes can be toveled here.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is a preschool.

Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction.

They officiate at weddings and circumcisions. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners and provides humanitarian aid.
