Kashrut — Mikvah Golda

KASHRUT

Mikvah Golda operates a strictly kosher mikvah and is dedicated to maintaining the highest Orthodox halachic standards

Design and Construction

MIKVAH GOLDA, based on the Lubavitch "Bor Al Gabai Bor" tradition, has been constructed under the meticulous supervision of renowned Rabbinic authorities to ensure adherence to the highest halachic standards.

Rabbi Gershon Grossbaum: Architectural and Halachic Expertise

Rabbi Gershon Grossbaum, a leading international expert in Mikvah construction, played an integral role in the design and pouring of the actual Mikvah boros in the summer of 2022. His guidance was crucial in ensuring the facility harmonizes contemporary needs with traditional Jewish law.

Dayanim RAV David Banon and RAV BerEl Bell: Joint Rabbinic Supervision

Rav David Banon, along with Rav Berel Bell, esteemed Dayanim of the Rabbinical Court of Montreal (Vaad Ha'Ir), provided comprehensive supervision throughout the construction process. Their collaborative oversight was essential during the critical stages, including the pouring of the Mikvah, the construction of the otzer (storage pool), and the preparation of the boros (immersion pools). Their combined expertise ensured that every aspect of the Mikvah met the highest standards of kashrut and closely followed the Chabad 'Bor Al Gabai Bor' design principles.

Maintenance

At MIKVAH GOLDA, Rabbi Joshua Berkowicz, ordained in 2012, upholds our highest halachic standards. His deep understanding of mikvah laws, honed by the ' Lemaan Yilmedu ' course in Hilchos Mikvaos taught by renowned experts Rabbi Shimon Gruen and Rabbi Sholom Shuchat, enables him to ensure our Mikvah's purity and compliance. With his decade of experience in Montreal's Jewish community, Rabbi Berkowicz performs diligent inspections and maintenance, in consultation with the Mikvah's certifying rabbis, maintaining MIKVAH GOLDA's exemplary standard of halachic integrity.
