Shofar on the Riverfront
Meet us at the river.
- Shofar, Tashlich and a L’chaim on the banks of the Rappahannock. Free, outdoors, and open to everyone.
- On the second day of Rosh Hashanah we walk down to the water, sound the shofar in the open air, and start the year together.
- The ShofarThe ram’s horn sounded outdoors, over moving water. If you hear one thing this Rosh Hashanah, hear this.
- TashlichAn ancient custom: come down to living water, say the verses together, and let the year’s regrets go with the current.
- A L’chaimA toast to the year ahead, and time to catch up with neighbors you may not have seen in a while.
- Everyone is welcomeNo charge, no membership, no background in any of this required. Bring the kids, bring a friend, and meet us on the grass by the river.
