Weekly Torah thoughts and other Jewish gems
How can one be commanded to love? It isn't possible to love on demand?!
When communicating with another, whether our child, a friend, or even when speaking to ourselves, we must remember HOW to give it over.
If we want our Judaism to be meaningful, if we want it to be meaningful to our children, then we have to do it consistently.
The journey toward the goal, the very process is the purpose? The struggle through the tough days, the enjoyment of the good ones.
How ironic that some of the most beautiful blessings, some of which tell about the redemption of the Jews and downfall of their enemies is coming from the very source that wanted to curse them!
The one where Moses hits the rock instead of speaking to it. He went against G-ds command and as a result, was barred entry into the land of Israel.
Conflict resolution. That is a hot topic these days and for good reason. This is a vital part of social interactions and interpersonal relationships. We can all improve in this area!
What does Torah have to say about it?

Every letter in Torah contains wisdom and lessons for us. Why would the Torah seemingly just copy and paste?
The most precious things in our lives are accounted for. We count things that are important to us, sometimes we'll count them over and over again.

The last few weeks and months have been wild for Jews across the globe, especially on the college campuses.
Okay, so John gossiped and was struck with tza'raat. I get why he'd have a terrible rash, but his clothing and house break out too? Make it make sense…
Let's examine fish. If a fish has scales, it should have fins too, don't all fish have fins? Why does the Torah list both?
