"Improbable Story" By Rivkah Resnick (Class of 2023)

• Lyrics and Music by Sheva Lipsker (Class of 2018)
• You set the board, You dealt the cards
• You know my colors, my coat of ar ms
• We played by your rules, Your faithful little fools
• I take my turn, you stay in place
• No closer to your faceless face
• With free will I’m told, I can call, I can fold
• The more I understand here, the less I seem to know
• What’s ten thousand pennies in a currency unknown
• You could’ve had oceans but you chose one drop
• You could’ve had mountains but you chose a small rock
• You could’ve played with angels
• But you gambled on us, You gambled on us
• With open arms I used to pray
• For a perfect hand to guide my way
• What’s it all worth without time, without work
• The more I understand here, the less I seem to know
• What’s ten thousand pennies in a currency unknown
• You could’ve had oceans but you chose one drop
• You could’ve had mountains but you chose a small rock
• You could’ve played with angels
• But you gambled on us, You gambled on us
• And our cards are left open-faced
• I see Your hand reflecting back at mine
• And our cards are left open faced
• You made you call and now I’ve made my choice
• You could’ve had oceans but you chose one drop
• You could’ve had mountains but you chose a small rock
• You could’ve played with angels
• But you gambled on us, You gambled on us
