“What students are saying…”

I came to Chabad expecting to ‘get my Jew on’ once in a while — but it became my Jewish home away from home.

“I joined to be part of a Jewish community while away at school. My favorite memories are at Shabbat dinners.”

“Before my first Shabbat, my roommate asked what time I’d be getting back. I stayed an hour longer than I thought I would!

“The very first time I came, I spilled grape juice all over the tablecloth. I thought I'd never be invited back. Instead, Chabad welcomed me with open arms.”

“Even if I hadn’t come for months, I always knew I could walk into Chabad and be welcomed like family.”

“It took me three years to finally come to Chabad—and even then, you welcomed me like I had been there all along.”

FAQs

1. Do I need to be observant to come to Chabad events?

Absolutely not. Everyone is welcome—no matter your background, observance level, or how connected you feel. Come as you are, eat, ask questions, or just hang out.

2. How much do events cost?

Nothing. Shabbat dinners, holiday meals, and events are all free for F&M & Millersville undergraduate students—thanks to generous donors who believe Jewish life should be open to everyone.

3. Can parents or alumni get involved?

Yes please! Join our email list, sponsor a dinner, or just drop by when you're on campus. We love connecting with families.

How do I RSVP for Shabbat or a holiday meal?

Just fill out the quick form on our RSVP page. It takes less than a minute—and lets us make sure there's a seat (and enough challah) waiting for you.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

No problem! Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free—we’ve got options. Just let us know on the RSVP form and we’ll take care of it.

6. Is there a dress code for Shabbat dinners?

Nope. Come as you are—whether that’s sneakers and a hoodie or something a little more Shabbat-y. You’ll fit in just fine.

Follow us on Instagram, hop on the email list, or—best of all—drop by in person.
