Chabad-Lubavitch is a philosophy, a movement, and an organization. It is considered to be the most dynamic force in Jewish life today.
A mikvah (מִקְוֶה, also spelled mikveh ) is a pool of water, in which Jewish people immerse to affect purity. It is most commonly used by women, as part of the niddah cycle , before she is reunited with her husband. The mikvah is also used by converts as they become Jewish . In temple times, it was used by anyone wishing to enter the Holy Temple complex or partake of sacred foods. A modern mikvah is often a beautiful facility resembling a spa.

What they offer
Chabad of Roslyn is a Chabad house in Roslyn Heights, led by Rabbi Aaron Konikov.
There is a synagogue on the premises. They kosher kitchens for the community. A mikveh is available.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.
For children there is a preschool.
Older children and young adults have a teen club and bar and bat mitzvah instruction.
They officiate at weddings and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly and works with children with special needs.
