As we prepare for Rosh Hashanah this year, the atmosphere is different. The first day is Shabbat, so the shofar is not blown. Instead, the goal of the Shofar is accomplished through our Shabbat joy and bliss. The Shofar blowing this year, the central mitzvah of this holiday, will take place on the second day of Rosh Hashanah - Sunday, Sept 13 at 11:30AM at Clifton Park Chabad. And of course there will be Shofar in the Park Sunday, 5pm at Barney Rd Park with Tashlich too! And when you light your double-duty Shabbat/Rosh Hashanah candles on Sept. 11, join us in praying for a year of peace, of calm, of wholeness — for us and for all of humanity. Good Shabbos and Good Yomtov, May you be blessed with a sweet new year! ... See More See Less
