Our goal is to create a place where Jewish people can feel at home. Regardless of your affiliation or observance, at Chabad you will find a non-judgmental atmosphere, where being Jewish is fun.
We invite you to participate in our programs, join us for a Friday night Shabbat dinner, or just stop in to hang out.
Chabad is a warm and engaging community offering programs to students at Michigan State University and the local Jewish population.
Students need a home-away-from-home, a place to enjoy being Jewish and celebrate their traditions. Chabad is that place for Jewish students at Michigan State University.

- 5:30 PM Kaballat Shabbat
- 6:00 PM - Candle Lighting & Shabbat Dinner
- 11:00 AM - Morning services
- 12:00 PM - Kiddush Lunch
- 6:30pm - Kabbalat Shabbat Services
- 7:00pm - Shabbat Dinner
- Saturday, Shabbat family and explanatory service, special circle time for children, followed by a kiddush and lunch, 11am at Chabad.

What they offer
MSU Chabad is a Chabad house on campus in East Lansing, led by Rabbi Bentzion Shemtov.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly and one-to-one study can be arranged. There is a library.
For children there is a children's club.
Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction, a bar mitzvah club, a bat mitzvah club and a young professionals' circle.
They officiate at weddings and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners and looks after the elderly.
There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
