What they offer

Chabad of Shrewsbury and UMASS Medical School is a Chabad house on campus in Shrewsbury, led by Rabbi Shmuel Fogelman.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Accommodation for guests can be arranged.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held.

For children there is a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have a young professionals' circle.

They officiate at funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.

The center visits patients in hospital, serves military personnel, works with children with special needs and runs medical services.

Holiday programs run through the year, hands on.
