In 2024, Rabbi Mendel and Sheina Wenger made Olathe their home, bringing their love for every Jew to this vibrant, growing city. With a deep commitment to Jewish continuity and a strong sense of Jewish pride, they are dedicated to uniting the Jewish community here, infusing every gathering with the joy and warmth of our shared heritage.

At Chabad of Olathe, we offer a variety of programs to connect you with the richness of Jewish tradition. From Torah classes and Jewish thought to delicious Shabbat and holiday dinners, we bring ancient wisdom into contemporary life while creating a space for meaningful connection and celebration. Who doesn't love a warm plate of Jewish comfort food? Our meals and events are designed to foster a sense of togetherness, just like family.

We also know that our children are the future. That’s why we offer after-school programs, kids' clubs, and exciting holiday parties where young hearts and minds can grow in their Jewish pride and identity.

What they offer

Chabad Olathe is a Chabad house in Olathe, led by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Wenger.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is after-school programmes and a mother-and-child group.

They officiate at weddings and funerals. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital.
