We, therefore, provide a space where people come together to celebrate, to study, to care, to heal, and to mourn. Chabad's goal is to encourage people to live a more meaningful life by sharing their passions, ideas and inspirations with others; to care for others in their community, and to be cared for by others in turn. We provide Jewish oriented programs, events, lectures, prayer services, study groups, outings and meals that bring people together in a shared interdependent space where they can grow together. What they offer

Chabad of Kona & West Hawaii is a Chabad house in Kailua Kona, led by Rabbi Levi Gerlitzky.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Kosher meals are available on a meal plan. Accommodation for guests can be arranged. A kosher store is run here. They kosher kitchens for the community. A mikveh is available.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held.

Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction.

They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, serves military personnel and looks after the elderly.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
