๐Ÿ“– Holiday Guide & Study

New year. Fresh start. But what does it all actually mean? Our Holiday Guide breaks down the prayers, customs, and deeper meaning behind Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur โ€” so you can walk in feeling prepared, not puzzled. Whether you're a first-timer or a lifelong observer, there's always something new to discover. ๐Ÿ“œ

Covered inside: The meaning of the Shofar & why we blow it ยท Teshuvah, Tefillah & Tzedakah ยท The Book of Life ยท Yizkor โ€” remembering loved ones ยท Fasting on Yom Kippur โ€” the what, why & how ยท Tashlich ยท How to use a Machzor ยท Candle lighting guide with blessings

๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ Honoraria

Honor someone you love. Dedicate a prayer, sponsor a seat, or make a Yizkor dedication in memory of a soul who shaped yours. Every dedication is a light that never goes out. ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ

Nefesh โ€” "I'm here. I belong." ยท Ruach โ€” "This is for our family." ยท Neshamah โ€” "I'm invested in this community." ยท Chaya โ€” "I can't wait to see this grow." ยท Yechida โ€” "Keeping Jewish life alive every day."

๐ŸŽค Teen Program

Teens are welcome to jump in alongside Morah Elky & Rabbi Aharon and help lead the Kids Program - mentoring, connecting, and making a real difference. Have an idea? Pitch it! We love when our teens take ownership of their Jewish experience. Your voice matters here.

โ“ Questions & Answers

Not even a little. Whether you're super observant or haven't set foot in a synagogue since your cousin's Bar Mitzvah in 1997 โ€” you are welcome here. No judgment, no shame, everybody is welcome. โค๏ธ

Nope! Everyone is welcome. Members do receive complimentary tickets as part of their partnership โ€” non-members can reserve seats at general admission pricing. Either way, there's a seat with your name on it.

Not at all. Services are explained as we go, transliterations are provided, and Rabbi Adi has a gift for making everyone feel included โ€” no Hebrew degree required. ๐Ÿ˜„

Smart casual to dressy โ€” whatever makes you feel your best. Many people wear white on Yom Kippur, but it's not required. Most importantly: wear comfortable shoes. It's a long and beautiful day. But remember, no leather!

Yes! A wonderful one. See the Kids Program section above for details. Your children will have their own meaningful, fun experience while you focus on yours.

Services are hosted at the JCC. Parking details will be included in your reservation confirmation. Still have questions? Give us a call!

Of course. Come for what you can. Every moment counts and every person is welcome โ€” even if you just pop in for the Shofar. ๐ŸŽบ

Still have a question? We genuinely love hearing from you โ€” no question is too small.
