Chabad Afterschool nurtures an appreciation for each child's self-worth & develops compassion for others. Children gain proficiency in Hebrew Language & Literacy and enjoy exciting enrichment programs led by professional staff who instill self-confidence in a fun & engaging environment.

1. What are the core values of this program?
Fun: Our staff is passionate about giving children a fabulous afterschool experience with fun activities and a nurturing approach.
Jewish: Jewish holidays and values come alive through celebrations, activities, and projects! Additionally, children are engaged daily in Hebrew reading, writing, and literacy.
Educational: We provide homework assistance and fabulous STEAM activities that spark curiosity and exploration.
2. Who is the the program for?
After School is a Jewish program for children ages K-5th grade.
3. What schools do you pick up from?
We pick up from all schools in San Jose.
4. What Hebrew program do you offer?
Hebrew literacy and language are part of our every day activities. Be prepared to be amazed as you watch your child read and write Hebrew using our famed ALEPH CHAMP program. In addition, our Hebrew language teachers utilize the GRANITE IVRIT curriculum and are passionate about growing the children's Hebrew language skills!
5. What activities are the kids engaged in?
Every day our kids are spending plenty of time outdoors engaged in sports, active play, and art activities. In addition, we have specialized enrichment programs that are rotated throughout the year such as martial arts, baking, hip hop, woodworking, lego club, pottery and more!
6. What are the children eating?
Each day we provide a healthy, hearty snack upon arrival. As well as a healthy dinner.
Daily Schedule
- 2:00-3:00 Pickup and Snacks
- 4:30 Enrichment project/Music
- 5:00 Baking/ Science/ Art / Jewish Action/ Shabbat Party
- HEBREW LANGUAGE & LITERACY
- Language is one of the most important tools of our lives, and our program offers children the opportunity to learn with our experienced bilingual teaching staff.
- Children participate in a variety of activities, including creative arts, challah baking, gardening, soccer, & Jewish Holiday programs.
- The children participate in team building activities & daily discussions that nurture sensitivity to others & our planet.
- We have created a nurturing learning environment with homework help that encourages innovation, invites creativity, and inspires versatile thinking.
- The children attend local educational field trips to the fire departments, police stations, farms and parks.
- We serve nutritious lunch and snacks that are healthy, homemade & kosher.
