Chabad of Malibu was founded in 1994 by Rabbi Levi & Sarah Cunin with the guidance and blessing of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. At Chabad we are dedicated to making the beauty and joy of Judaism accessible to all.
Chabad serves the Malibu community through a wide variety of services and programs. We encourage you to learn more and become an active participant.
At Chabad you are accepted with love regardless of your level of observance. We are all part-teacher and part-student in the school room of Life. You may consider yourself Reform, Conservative, Orthodox, or Unaffiliated. At Chabad we see you as Jewish. No labels. No differences. Chabad is the Home for every Jew!
Chabad of Malibu is one of California’s most unique and unconventional Jewish Centers. Chabad is a popular center for Jews of all backgrounds who want to learn more about their Jewish roots. Located across from the Malibu Pier, overlooking the gorgeous Pacific Ocean, Chabad offers a wide variety of educational, spiritual, social and recreational opportunities. Traditional Jewish values are brought to life in a joyous, non-judgmental atmosphere.

What they offer
Chabad of Malibu is a Chabad house in Malibu, led by Rabbi Levi Cunin.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held.
For children there is a preschool, a Hebrew school, after-school programmes and a mother-and-child group.
Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction and a bat mitzvah club.
They officiate at funerals.
The center visits patients in hospital, looks after the elderly, works to prevent drug and alcohol abuse and runs a drug rehabilitation center.
There is a women's group. Holiday programs run through the year, hands on. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
