Welcome to Wilshire Hebrew School!
About Us
Wilshire Hebrew School is the children's program of Chabad Wilshire Corridor, and our doors are open to every Jewish child, from every kind of home, no matter their background or level of observance. From TK through 5th grade, children here don't just learn about Judaism. They live it. Through Aleph Champ Hebrew reading, hands-on holidays, and the heroes and stories of our people, every child builds a foundation of love, pride, and belonging that lasts a lifetime. Because however you nurture a tree while it is small, that is how it grows.

A Typical Tuesday
Every Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00, our classrooms come alive. Children arrive to friendly faces, settle in with their teacher and classroom assistant, and dive into a lively lesson brought to life with a slideshow, songs, and hands-on games. They climb the Aleph Champ reading ladder at their own pace, earn Hebrew School dollars for the Prize Store, and head home a little prouder to be Jewish than when they walked in. It's learning that feels like the best part of the week.
