HIGH HOLIDAYS

SUKKOT & SIMCHAT TORAH
Connection. Inspiration. Community.
Dear Friends, As we approach the High Holidays we would like to welcome you to celebrate with us in our growing community. This is a month of inspiration, connection, community and most importantly joy. We start a new year with the potential for unlimited blessings and new beginnings, and we would love to experience it together with you. There is no membership and no charge. Just let us know you are coming so we can set a place for you. Wishing you and yours a sweet, healthy and happy new year, Rabbi Mendel & Tonna Korf
Rosh Hashanah is the beginning of the Jewish new year, a time we set the tone for the whole year. We do so with the blowing of the Shofar awakening our souls, days of prayer, festive meals and community.
Yom Kippur is the day we can let go of the things we think define us and identify with our angelic self, our soul. It is a powerful 25 hours when, similar to angels, we can transcend the physical activities of the day to day.
We go from these reflective days to joy and celebration, spending time together in the Sukkah and shaking the Lulav and Etrog. Join us for a festive dinner under the stars in the Sukkah on Friday night, and for an open house Sukkah party on Sunday.
We finish the Torah and start it again. Join us for hakafot, dancing, and a l'chaim, Saturday night and again on Sunday. Let's celebrate together!
Every date, time, and RSVP in one place. Services are free of charge.
Tzedakah is the heart of our community. It makes Judaism real, vibrant, and welcoming for everyone who walks in, from students at Oxy to families across Highland Park. Sponsor a meal, a service, or a child's holiday. You make it possible.
