Chabad of South Huntington Beach was established by Rabbi Yossi and Yiska Berkowitz in 2005. Our aim is to give meaning, share joy and add spirituality to the every day. Our dream is to teach these values in a warm and nurturing environment where people can grow together, enjoying life and Judaism simultaneously. We invite you to explore our site and join in our many programs, celebrations, and events. You will find a calendar packed with something for everyone - parents, children, youth and adults.

What they offer
Chabad Jewish Center of South Huntington Beach is a Chabad house in Huntington Beach, led by Rabbi Yosef Berkowitz.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Kosher meals are available on a meal plan. Accommodation for guests can be arranged. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held.
For children there is a children's club.
Older children and young adults have a teen club and bar and bat mitzvah instruction.
They officiate at weddings and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly, distributes food packages and provides humanitarian aid.
There is a women's group. Holiday programs run through the year, hands on. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
