What they offer

Jewish Community of Nikolayev is a Jewish community centre in Nikolayev, led by Rabbi Sholom Gotlieb.

There is a synagogue on the premises. A kosher store is run here. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community. There is a mikveh for men.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is a Hebrew school, after-school programmes and a children's club.

Older children and young adults have a teen club and bar and bat mitzvah instruction.

They officiate at circumcisions. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits Jewish prisoners and runs a soup kitchen.
