Lubavitcher Rebben, Rabbin Menachem M. Schneersohn, har skickat ut över 5,000 shluchim för att etablera judiska utblidningscentra i alla världens hörn. Här i Sverige finns det tre Chabad centra. De verkar dygnet och året runt för en starkare judisk framtid genom att öka kunskapen och medvetenhet om vårt rika judiska arv.
Rebben insisterade på att alla judar är jämlika, oavsett backgrund, inrikting eller religiös nivå. Utifrån den principen drivs alla Chabadcentren. Det krävs inget åtagande eller kunskap för att vara med. Vill du lära eller engagera dig mer i det judiska - är du varmt välkommen!

What they offer
Chabad Lubavitch Sweden is a Chabad house in Gothenburg, led by Rabbi Alexander Namdar.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Kosher meals are available on a meal plan. Accommodation for guests can be arranged. A kosher store is run here. They kosher kitchens for the community. A mikveh is available. Dishes can be toveled here.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held. There is a library.
For children there is a preschool, a Hebrew school, after-school programmes and a children's club.
Older children and young adults have a teen club and bar and bat mitzvah instruction.
They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly and provides humanitarian aid.
There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
