The Chabad synagogue offers a wide-ranging adult education program, including opportunities for studying Hebrew, prayer and participating in discussion groups every Shabbat.
With sold-out lectures on diverse topics such as Israel, Jewish holidays, holocaust and life cycle events.
The Chabad Syanagogue is located in the Forest Acres area of northeast Columbia. Access is easily available from Interstate 20, Interstate 77, Fort Jackson, and the downtown area.
Rabbis Hesh & Chavi Epstein, Meir & Sheindel Muller and Levi & Devorah Marrus, Hershel & Pesha Spalter, Sruly & Shlomit Epstein are the spiritual leaders of Chabad of South Carolina. They have spent their entire Rabbinical careers in Columbia, SC and have helped our community grow in numerous ways.

What they offer
Chabad of South Carolina is a synagogue in Columbia, led by Rabbi Heshy Epstein.
There is a synagogue on the premises. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held.
For children there is a preschool and a Hebrew school.
Older children and young adults have a teen club and bar and bat mitzvah instruction.
They officiate at funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, serves military personnel and looks after the elderly.
