jewishdch.comProviding social, educational, religious and cultural programs to the students at Duke University, UNC at Chapel Hill and the local community.
Chabad at Duke/UNC and Chabad of Durham/Chapel Hill opened its doors in 2002 with the goal to create a place where all Jews can feel at home. Regardless of your affiliation or observance, at Chabad you will find a non-judgmental atmosphere, where being Jewish is fun.
We invite you to participate in our programs, join us in our home for a Friday night Shabbat dinner, or just stop in to hang out.
Our mission at Chabad of Duke/UNC and Durham/Chapel Hill is to connect Jews from all backgrounds to the Jewish community, at their own pace & comfort level, through innovative, educational & social programs, with an emphasis on the students. Participation in our outreach programs has been strong & enthusiastic – engendering a vibrant sense of Jewish identity among the Jewish student body & faculty.
Our goal is to engage the 3000 Jewish students, as well as faculty on the UNC/ DUKE campuses. We also aim to reach the 11,500 Jews (including the 500 Young Jewish Professionals) in the greater Durham - Chapel Hill Jewish community.
