Welcome to Chabad of New Mexico, your home away from home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Established with the blessing of the Lubavitcher Rebbe in 1992, and is directed by Rabbi Chaim Schmukler and his wife Devorah Leah. Rabbi Chaim and Devorah Leah have been serving the Albuquerque community with love, dedication, and timeless Jewish wisdom.
Rabbi Chaim Schmukler has been serving the New Mexico community for over 30 years. A passionate educator and mentor, he is devoted to caring for Jewish identity, knowledge, and traditions in an inclusive and welcoming environment.
Devorah Leah is the pillar of our community events, Women's groups and programs. She is the person that keeps the community together.

What they offer
Chabad of New Mexico is a Chabad house in Albuquerque, led by Rabbi Chaim Schmukler.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Kosher meals are available on a meal plan. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held. There is a library.
For children there is a day camp, a children's club and a mother-and-child group.
Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction and a bat mitzvah club.
They officiate at circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners and looks after the elderly.
There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
