What they offer
Lubavitch of Montenegro is a Chabad house in Podgorica, led by Rabbi Ari Edelkopf.
Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Kosher meals are available on a meal plan. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held.
For children there is after-school programmes.
Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction, a bar mitzvah club and a bat mitzvah club.
They officiate at circumcisions and funerals. A chevra kadisha serves the community.
The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly, distributes food packages, provides humanitarian aid, runs medical services, helps people find work and serves travelers at the airport.
There is a women's group. There is a men's club. Holiday programs run through the year, hands on. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
