Chabad Jewish Center of Malta was established in 2013 ( (5773 by Rabbi Chaim Shalom and Mrs. Chaya Mushka Segel as emissaries of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

The Center in Malta is part of the extensive activities of bringing the light Torah and Chassidus to every place where there are Jews through brotherly love (Ahavat Yisroel) and pleasant hospitality. Based on the verse "You should burst through to the east, to the west, to the north and to the south" The Lubavitcher Rebbe sends his emissaries all over the world – to break through new paths to the hearts of all Jews the world over and thus bring the Final Redemption along with the Beis Hamikdash – The Holy Temple.

The Chabad House has a variety of events. The activities and services that we offer will help you to find peace for your soul and an answer to all your spiritual needs: Jewish studies, religious items and books for sale and borrowing, bar-mitzvah preparation, prayer services on Shabbas and Jewish Holidays, and guidance in the entire Jewish life.

Schedule

On the Sabbath there is a morning minyan (prayer service) at 10:00.
It's recommended to order before Wednesday evening of the same shabbat, but no later than Thursday 9 pm.
: The service starts at 10:00 in the Ta'Xbiex synagogue.
: approx. 13:00 there is a Kiddush and Shabbat Meal in the Chabad Center.

What they offer

Chabad of Malta is a Jewish community centre in Sliema, led by Rabbi Chaim Segal.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. A kosher store is run here. They kosher kitchens for the community. A mikveh is available. Dishes can be toveled here.

Classes run regularly. There is a library.

For children there is after-school programmes and a children's club.

Older children and young adults have a teen club, a bar mitzvah club and a bat mitzvah club.

They officiate at weddings. Couples are prepared for marriage.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly and provides humanitarian aid.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here. The building is wheelchair accessible.
