One remarkable success story is that of the founders of Waze, an Israeli startup that revolutionized navigation and mapping services. Uri Levine, Ehud Shabtai, and Amir Shinar launched Waze in 2008 with the aim of providing real-time traffic information sourced from drivers themselves.

What they offer
Chabad on Campus Karmiel is a Chabad house on campus in Karmiel, led by Rabbi Nussan Eliyohu Rodin.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Kosher meals are available on a meal plan. Accommodation for guests can be arranged. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.
Older children and young adults have a young professionals' circle and a circle for international students.
They officiate at weddings and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.
The center visits patients in hospital, looks after the elderly, works with children with special needs, distributes food packages, provides humanitarian aid, runs a free loan fund, runs medical services, provides psychiatric care, works to prevent drug and alcohol abuse, helps people find work, counsels families facing cults and missionaries and helps people through addiction and recovery.
There is a women's group. There is a men's club. Holiday programs run through the year, hands on. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here. They publish. There is a Torah phone line.
