Chabad of the “City”

What they offer

Chabad of the “City” is a Chabad house in Ashdod, led by Rabbi Yosef Friedman.

There is a synagogue on the premises. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is after-school programmes, a children's club and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction.

They officiate at circumcisions. Couples are prepared for marriage.

The center distributes food packages and runs a soup kitchen.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
