Rav Noach and Alti Majesky

Rabbi and Mrs. Yisroel Noach and Alti Majesky have been appointed as the new Shluchim to Accra, Ghana. The Majeskys and their 3 children moved summer 2015 to Accra from Crown Heights to establish a new Chabad Center which provides for the Jewish needs of locals and tourists in the area. They were appointed by Rabbi Shlomo Bentolila , Head Shliach to Central Africa, in conjunction with Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky , Vice Chairman of Merkos Linyonei Chinuch. Accra is the capital and largest city of Ghana, a country located along the Gulf of Guinea and Atlantic Ocean, in West Africa. Accra is the anchor of a larger metropolitan area, and is also a transportation hub, home to the Kotoka International Airport and railway links to Tema, Sekondi-Takoradi and Kumasi. Chabad of Central Africa has been sending Bachurim on Merkos Shlichus for the past 20+ years to cities across Central Africa for Rosh Hashanah and Pesach, and in the past year the request for a full time family of Shluchim was made by many community members. The Majesky family joins the growing list of Shluchim families to Central Africa: Rabbi and Mrs. Shlomo Bentolila - Kinshasa, D.R.C., Rabbi and Mrs. Yisrael Uzan - Abuja, Nigeria and Rabbi and Mrs. Levi Checkly, Luanda, Angola.
