What they offer

Habad des Pyrénées-Atlantiques is a Chabad house in Pau, led by Rabbi Menahem Mendel Matusof.

Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Kosher meals are available on a meal plan. A kosher store is run here. They kosher kitchens for the community. A mikveh is available.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held.

For children there is a children's club and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction and a bar mitzvah club.

They officiate at weddings and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly, distributes food packages and provides humanitarian aid.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
