Rabbi Dovie grew up in London where he attended Hasmonean High School. He spent numerous years in America studying in yeshiva where he obtained his Rabbinic ordination and BA in Jewish philosophy and ethics. He then went on to attain a QTS and taught at Hasmonean High School for Girls for over 3 years. He currently studies at the Rabbinical training academy and runs Chabad in Mill Hill East with his wife and two children.

What they offer

Chabad Mill Hill East is a Chabad house in London, led by Rabbi Dov Schochet.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. Kosher meals are available on a meal plan.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is after-school programmes, a children's club and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have a teen club and a young professionals' circle.

They officiate at funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.

The center visits patients in hospital, looks after the elderly, distributes food packages, provides humanitarian aid and runs a soup kitchen.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
