Nominate a Senior is a project of Chabad on the East Side.
Our mission? To make it easy for family and friends to brighten the day of an elderly loved one!
How? By nominating them to receive a shabbat care package!
Challah, wine, shabbat candles and a bouquet of flowers.
To nominate a senior click on the Nominate link below and fill out the form. You may choose to include a personalized message as well.
Shabbat packages will be delivered to your senior’s door on Thursday or Friday of that week.
Once a senior has received a package, they will then have the opportunity to be a “carrier of kindness” and nominate two of their own friends to receive shabbat care packages.

Covid 19 Safety Protocols
Use of gloves and mask, as well as proper hygiene, are ensured when preparing and delivering the Shabbat packages.
All volunteers and staff of the Nominate a Senior project have not been out of the country within 14 days.
All volunteers and staff have not been in contact with anyone testing positive for Covid-19.
Deliveries will be made following strict social distance guidelines. Deliveries will be left with the concierge when necessary.
