The Centre for Judaism serves the Jewish communities of White Rock, Surrey, Cloverdale, Delta, Langley, Abbotsford and Ladner.

Strengthening the Jewish community of the Lower Fraser Valley by promoting Jewish commitment and education, conducting social programs, offering free counseling, helping people spiritually and by assisting the needy.

Provide learning opportunities and holiday awareness programs for adults and children, conducts religious and social programs to promote Jewish education and commitment.

What they offer

Centre for Judaism of the Lower Fraser Valley is a Chabad house in Surrey, led by Rabbi Falik Schtroks.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is a Hebrew school, after-school programmes and a children's club.

Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction.

They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly and provides humanitarian aid.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
