At Chabad, it's personal. Chabad stands for community, for spirituality, and for reaching out to every single person who needs a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, a place to feel at home. Chabad awakens and helps develop the inner self of the person, manifesting the concept that Jewishness or Judaism is not merely a religion but a way of life.
Everyone who walks through our doors is given equal opportunity to study, participate and experience their Judaism. Our centre is a meeting place for social, educational, religious, cultural and family events. Men, Women and children of all ages are welcome and encouraged to participate. We claim a unique blend of Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews from many countries celebrating their Judaism together.

What they offer
Chabad of the Town is a Chabad house in Montreal, led by Rabbi Moishe Krasnanski.
There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community.
Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.
For children there is after-school programmes and a mother-and-child group.
Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction and a bat mitzvah club.
They officiate at circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.
The center visits patients in hospital, looks after the elderly and provides humanitarian aid.
