Chabad Jewish Discovery Centre

The Chabad Jewish Discovery Centre is a vibrant hub located at 1552 Dundas Street West, in Mississauga West. Since its founding in 2005 by Rabbi Yitzchok and Sara Slavin, the Centre has proudly served the diverse Jewish population of Mississauga, Oakville, Brampton, and Milton, offering a wide array of religious, educational, and community programs. As part of the global Chabad Lubavitch movement, our mission is to provide meaningful Jewish experiences and support to people of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of observance.

At the heart of the Centre is our commitment to inclusivity. We are here for all Jews, regardless of background, affiliation, or financial situation. Whether you’re interested in reconnecting with your Jewish heritage, seeking educational programs for your children, or looking for a welcoming community to celebrate the holidays, the Chabad Jewish Discovery Centre is a place where everyone is welcome.

Our programs reflect the breadth of our community’s needs and interests. We offer Hebrew School , Camp Gan Israel for children, CTeen programs for teens, and the UTM Jewish Students Club for university students. Additionally, we run a Bat Mitzvah Club , Mommy and Me sessions , and the Jewish Kids Club , all designed to engage young families in the joy of Jewish life.

For adults, we provide educational opportunities through the Jewish Learning Institute (JLI) , which hosts courses on a wide range of topics such as nurturing relationships, Jewish law, and spirituality. Our Robbins Educational Institute regularly offers lectures, special learning events, and other community-oriented programming. We also hold regular holiday services and celebrations throughout the year, from Sukkot & Simchat Torah to Passover , ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to connect with their Jewish heritage.
