Led by Rabbi Reuven Mintz and his wife, Chani Mintz , our mission is to strengthen Jewish family life and foster a genuine sense of belonging for all.

With an open-door policy and a commitment to "Judaism with a Smile," we offer a home away from home, where Jewish traditions, teachings, and culture come to life. Our diverse range of programs caters to the spiritual, educational, and social needs of our community members, making it a dynamic hub for growth and connection.

Experience intellectually stimulating JLI courses, empowering Jewish Woman's Circle (JWC) gatherings, and nurturing Jewish pride through our Chabad Hebrew School. Our welcoming Shabbat Synagogue Services unite everyone in the timeless rituals, while our Orange County Holocaust Education Center stands as a symbol of learning and remembrance, upholding freedom and tolerance.

What they offer

Chabad Center for Jewish Life is a Chabad house in Newport Beach, led by Rabbi Reuven Mintz.

There is a synagogue on the premises. There is a Judaica shop. They kosher kitchens for the community.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is a Hebrew school, after-school programmes, a children's club and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have a teen club, bar and bat mitzvah instruction, a bar mitzvah club and a bat mitzvah club.

They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, serves military personnel, looks after the elderly, works with children with special needs, distributes food packages, provides humanitarian aid and runs a free loan fund.
