Nitzutz is a nonprofit organisation, fostering connections emphasising mental & physical health through professional events, educational programs & family initiatives.

Mendy is currently an Assistant Rabbi and operations manager at Chabad Double bay. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Talmudic studies and 10+ years of experience of networking and fostering spiritual growth in the community.

Mark has been consistently recognised in several legal directories, including The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific, Doyle's Guide and Who’s Who Legal for his expertise in the field of construction and infrastructure. He also cares deeply about Yiddishkeit and the future growth of our community.

Founder of the Lieder group , before that working in 2 award-winning architecture firms where he contributed to some of Sydney’s most exquisite residential projects. Chaim also has a deep connection to the community, aiming to foster growth and connection.

Yanky brings extensive experience in the not-for-profit sector, with a background in community-focused initiatives across Australia and internationally. He is recognized for his leadership, strategic thinking, and depth of experience in managing and delivering complex projects.

What they offer

Nitzutz is a Jewish community centre in Double Bay, led by Rabbi Mendy Berger.

Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction, a bar mitzvah club and a young professionals' circle.

They officiate at weddings and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, looks after the elderly and provides humanitarian aid.
