As we approach the second yahrzeit of our beloved Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Itkin ע " ה , we are deeply moved to share that the beautiful paroches created in his honor is now complete. It will be hung in our shul next week (Parshas Vayera) â€“a fitting tribute to a chossid whose presence illuminated our community and whose memory continues to inspire us.

Many have already contributed toward this meaningful project, and we are so grateful for your generosity. If you would still like to take part in this lasting tribute, there is still an opportunity to do so.

In appreciation, we will be preparing a special keepsake for the Itkin family, including the names of all those who participated in this project as an expression of the community’s love and respect.

May this paroches stand as a lasting reminder of Rabbi Itkin’s dedication to our Shul — personified by his warmth, his devotion, and his tireless efforts to bring every Jew closer to Hashem and to the Rebbe זי״ע.

What they offer

Chabad Lubavitch of Western PA is a synagogue in Pittsburgh, led by Rabbi Yisroel Rosenfeld.

There is a synagogue on the premises. They kosher kitchens for the community. There is a mikveh for men.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is after-school programmes and a children's club.

Older children and young adults have bar and bat mitzvah instruction and a bat mitzvah club.

Couples are prepared for marriage.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners and looks after the elderly.

There is a women's group.
