Welcome to Chabad of the Lehigh Valley, a home for every Jew.

Inspired by the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Chabad of the Lehigh Valley was established in January 2001 by Rabbi Yaakov and Devorah Halperin and is affiliated with Chabad of Greater Philadelphia.

Based in Allentown, PA, our focus is on the spiritual and social needs of local Jews of all ages. We are dedicated to the furtherance of Jewish education at all levels in the hope that it will inspire you to explore your heritage and strengthen your Jewish connection. Acceptance of every Jew regardless of background or prior experience is the hallmark of Chabad's philosophy.

What they offer

Chabad Lubavitch of Lehigh Valley is a Chabad house in Allentown, led by Rabbi Yaacov Halperin.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community. There is a mikveh for men.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged and public lectures are held.

For children there is a preschool and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have a bat mitzvah club.

They officiate at weddings and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage. A chevra kadisha serves the community.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners and looks after the elderly.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here.
