Rabbi Nachman and Clara have been Chabad representatives for over 40 years, serving communities in West Hartford, Connecticut; Detroit, Michigan; and Delmar, New York .

Rabbi Nachman is the popular host of the Torah on One Foot podcast and The Jewish View .

Clara Simon runs vibrant senior programming at Bethlehem Chabad, working with hundreds of seniors in the community.

Bethlehem Chabad is committed to interact with all the Jewish families and individuals in the Bethlehem area to enrich their lives with the spirit of Judaism.

What they offer

Bethlehem Chabad is a Chabad house in Delmar, led by Rabbi Zalman Simon.

There is a synagogue on the premises. Visitors are welcomed for Shabbat and holiday meals. They kosher kitchens for the community.

Classes run regularly, one-to-one study can be arranged, courses from the Jewish Learning Institute are taught and public lectures are held. There is a library.

For children there is a Hebrew school, a children's club and a mother-and-child group.

Older children and young adults have a teen club and bar and bat mitzvah instruction.

They officiate at weddings, circumcisions and funerals. Couples are prepared for marriage.

The center visits patients in hospital, visits Jewish prisoners, looks after the elderly, distributes food packages and runs a free loan fund.

There is a women's group. Mezuzos and tefillin can be checked here. The building is wheelchair accessible.
